Whip up a batch of these scrumptious sugar cookies with a recipe that's all about fluffy, tender goodness! With a mix of sweet sugar, rich butter, and tangy sour cream, these cookies are perfect for cutting into fun shapes and baking to a light brown perfection
2 eggs
2 cup sugar
1 cup butter (room temp)
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
4+cups AP (all purpose) flour
Mix sour cream and baking soda together in their own bowl.
Cream eggs, sugar, and butter with an electric mixer in their own bowl, until light in color (1-2 minutes).
Add sour cream mixture to egg, sugar, and butter mixture, then add vanilla and salt.
Mix in approximately 4.5 cups of flour (may need more depending on stickiness).
Turn dough in sections onto a floured board or counter.
Add more flour as needed until you have a soft dough.
Roll to desired thickness and cut with your favorite cookie cutter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes until light brown on the bottom.
Frost with buttercream and mangia!
